PHL 458 Truth and Validity (Phoenix)
The aim of this paper is to explore the use of the four-step process to evaluate an argument, regarding the soundness of reasoning (truth and validity). The method used to evaluate an argument will be explained, and a detailed assessment of the process will be included
An argument can be logically evaluated by using a four steps process to identify any errors affecting the truth or the validity of the argument. This steps of the process comprise of clearly stating the argument, examining each part of the argument for errors affecting the truth, examining the argument for validity errors and finally revising the argument to eliminate the errors that have been identified (Ruggiero, V. R. 2014).
