NSG 456 Research Design (Phoenix)
Qualitative and quantitative research both have purposes in nursing research. Quantitative research looks at the statistics and probability of an event occurring, while qualitative research looks at the how and why an event occurred. Though they are different, they have many similarities in their methods, data, testing, analysis, and implications of their results. The two research designs, when used together, help improve evidence-based practice in nursing.
