NSG 416 Identifying a Personal Nursing Philosophy (Phoenix)
Throughout one’s nursing career, a nurse must think about his or her personal nursing philosophy. Philosophies are personal in nature, influenced by different experiences and education throughout a nurse’s career. As nursing students, many nurses were asked to write their personal nursing philosophy. A nurse’s beliefs regarding nursing, his or her values, the nature of human caring, the nature of nursing, and the social aspects of nursing must be considered while developing his or her personal nursing philosophy.
