Integrative Intercultural Communication
This paper describes, explains and resolves an illustration of intercultural communication issues that exist within the environment of work. A complete depiction of the communication issue will be addressed, along with the potential and favorable outcome to the issue. Diagnosis of the cultural norms involved as well as the communication issue itself will be discussed. Several recommendations that could have served to prevent the issue at onset will also be discussed. As a westerner, the choice to examine the integrative intercultural aspects of a country other than the United States was a purposeful one. To gain a better understanding of intercultural communication, one needs to step outside the comforts of comparisons to one’s own culture.
